My name is Joseph Macharia, and I am a pastor with the Church of Restoration.
In 2018, I felt called to ministry, and by the grace of God, I started a church. Since then, the Lord has been faithful. Through my ministry, God has given me opportunities not only to serve the church, but also to help strengthen the community around me.
One experience that has stayed with me involved a family that was almost breaking apart because of misunderstandings within the family. They came to me seeking advice. With the help of God and through much prayer, we worked toward reconciliation. Today, that family is together and doing very well. I thank God that He was able to use me to help restore a family that was struggling.
As the ministry continues, I am trusting God for what comes next. One of my prayers is that we will be able to purchase land for the church so that the community will have a permanent place to come together and worship.
I also hope to open a school. There is no school near the village where I minister, and I would like to help meet that need in the community.
Along the way, I met another pastor who introduced me to Divine Providence Training Center (DPTC). I am trusting God that through this training, I will become better equipped to minister to my church and to serve the people in my community.
